Iloilo to upgrade land use plan
ILOILO City’s comprehensive land use plan (CLUP) will be upgraded to make it more attuned to the socio-economic needs of a growing local government in the Visayas.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said the City Government has scheduled a workshop for Thursday on the upgrading of the plan. The meeting will be held at Sarabia Manor Hotel.
Treñas added he has asked urban planner Felino Palafox Jr. to draft a comprehensive upgrading plan that will focus on poverty alleviation and involve all sectors.
The City Government will pay P3 million — P2.7 million for the urban planner’s services and P300,000 for public consultations – to Palafox.
The upgraded CLUP is expected to be completed in the first half of this year.
