Moving Forward: A Regional Education Workshop

On Wednesday January 30th, 2008 and the morning of Thursday January 31st, 2008 the Canadian Urban Institute will be hosting a workshop focussed on developing a course that strengthen the capacity of MIGEDC on a Regional Planning topic. The objective of the workshop will be to initiate the process of developing a capacity building program that supports the institutional sustainability of MIGEDC. The workshop will provide participants with the ability to identify the capacity needs of the region and begin drafting a course syllabus for learning.
The day will consist of presentations as well as an interactive workshop facilitated by Dr. Aurora Fe Bautista, of the Iloilo Doctor’s College, College of Arts and Science and the University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Division of Professional Education.
The CUI will also have a very special guest speaker, Mr. Teferra Sileshi. Mr. Sileshi is the Regional Manager of the CUI Ethiopia partnership office in Addis Ababa and will be sharing with us “The Addis Ababa Experience” of urbanization and partnership building.
